CICR Columbia

The Center for International Conflict Resolution at Columbia University is a prestigious and large organization within the university. CICR contributes to conflict transformation and peace-building of deadly conflict worldwide through research, education and practice. Started in the mid 1990s CICR provides great assistance to world leaders, United Nations and is quickly becoming an epicenter toward international conflict.

CICR wanted a Content Management System that would serve as an easily manageable website that allows them the ability to administer all of their documentation. This customized CMS features related documents, member management, news articles and blog, interactive conflict map, class and event registration, workshops and administrative permissions. These components are the foundation to which information is presented to the user as well as manageable to the team.

At virso we were able to take the three processes and integrate them into a simple navigation scheme in order to acquire the necessary information. Moreover, we gave CICR a new identity which is providing them a much more educational and younger look. The new identity combined with the information assimilation has assisted CICR at Columbia University convey their message and maintain the vital role in international conflict resolution. Virso looks forward to working with CICR at Columbia University further develop tools and provide additional resources to the website for years to come.
